For the final, you will be required to answer three of the following questions at random in addition to two document-based questions.

• Explain events in the Civil Rights Movement up to the point of the Brown v. Board of Education decision in 1954. Here is the reading that covered this in class.
• What was the MFDP? What were their goals and tactics?
• Identify and explain two events in the Civil Rights movement between 1954 and 1968.
• Identify and explain two Civil Rights organizations. Compare and contrast. How were they similar? How were they different?
• How and why did the Civil Rights movement begin to fragment in the late '60s?
• How and why did FBI COINTELPRO target civil rights organizations?
• Identity and explain how another group of Americans struggled for civil rights. (Latinos, American Indians, Asian Americans, Disabled, gay, or older Americans)
• Discuss either mass incarceration or housing discrimination as it has affected black communities.
