Conquest of the Americas
Students continued learn about pre-Columbian civilizations and the clash between them and the Spanish conquistadors. Student listen to the song Cortez the Killer. Students read excerpts from the book Memory of Fire by Eduardo Galeano and began reading the introduction and first chapter in Born in Blood and Fire.
