Cold War: Cuba

Students continued learning about the Cold War in Latin America.

1. Students discussed the famous image of Che Guevara. They looked at different interpretations of who he was and designed their our interpretation.
2. Students read an excerpt from a graphic novel about Che
3. Students watched several clips from the film Che focusing on interpretations of Che as well as the major events of the revolution.
4. Students discussed the reasons for the Cuban rebels ultimate victory, noting the successes of the rebels and the failures of Batista.
5. Students learned about reforms made by Castro's government after the revolution.
