Students read an article about current conditions of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Photos from the article can been seen above. Students reflected on and discussed the article. Students then watched an interview with the photographer from the article (see below).
After, students began watching a series of clips from the PBS series, The West, detailing some major events of the Indian wars of the late 19th century.
