Lynching, Discrimination, and Response

Students read an article about lynching. There responded to several questions:

1. What reasons were there for lynchings?
2. What trends can be observed in lynchings between 1890 and 1940?
3. According to the author, why did most of the lynchings occur in rural areas?

We discussed these answers and review the homework questions.
