Students finished watching the film Egalite for All about the Haitian Revolution. After I discussed the effects of the Revolution on the Louisiana Purchase. Students then began learning about Simon Bolivar and the independence movements of South America. They listened to a podcast about Bolivar and watched a clips of George W. Bush and Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez making remarks about Bolivar.
