Opposition and Minority Groups During the Great Depression and New Deal

Agenda 3/6-8:

1. Students learned about people who opposed the New Deal (or felt it didn't go far enough). They wrote a short radio speech in opposition to Franklin Roosevelt. Turn this in!
2. Students learned about how minorities were affected during the Great Depression and New Deal.
3. Students debated whether the New Deal was a success of a failure.
4. Students began reading from Born in Blood and Fire, focusing on how the Great Depression and New Deal impacted countries in Latin America.
