- Students participated in a text graffiti activity where they read and discussed a series of quotations from three major abolitionists: Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, and David Walker. They commented on the quotes and presented dramatic readings.
- Students wrote a creative autobiography from the perspective of an anti-slavery advocate in preparation for a mock meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society [see below].
