Slavery: Introduction

Agenda 10/1:
  1. Students viewed a series of images depicting the slave trade [below].
  2. They then watched a clip from the movie Amistad.
  3. Students then discussed ways slaves might resist their condition and evaluated the morality of different forms of resistance.
  4. Students reviewed and analyzed an early abolitionist document.
