The Lost Cause and Old South

Agenda 11/17-19:

1. Students completed their reading about change and continuity in the South during Reconstruction
2. Students participated in a simulation of separate but equal. 
3. I finished a lecture about Reconstruction.
4. Students watched clips from the films, Birth of a Nation and Gone With the Wind
5. Students read an article about the Myth of the Lost Cause, debating whether monuments to the Confederacy should be renamed.
