Towards the Civil War

Agenda 10/21-23:

1. Students analyzed a document from 1688, that argued against slavery. They completed an analysis worksheet.
2. Students discussed way win which slaves could resist their enslavement and whether slaves were justified in committing violence, including murder, against their masters/owners. [below]
3. Students viewed excepts from the graphic novel, Nat Turner.
4. I gave a lecture about events leading to the Civil War. This lectured can be referenced by reading Chapter 9 in History Alive.
