1. Students listened to songs and watched two movie trailers about the Alamo. Students attempted to understand what happened based on these sources.
2. Students took notes on a timeline from this website, focusing on the years 1535, 1776, 1810, 1821, 1823, 1835, 1836, June 1845. 
3. Students watched a series of clips from the film the West. Here is a transcript of the main section.
4. Students began reading Chapter 8 in A People's History of the United States.
