Neocolonialism

Agenda 2/4/13:

1. Student received their final test and History Journals.
2. I went over expectations for the second semester.
3. Students watched clips from the 1950 film Journey to Bananaland and answered a series of questions. Students were introduced to the concept of the Banana Republic.
4. I reviewed key points from Born in Blood and Fire, Chapter 6 using the powerpoint below.
5. Students listened to the song Canto Generale, with lyrics from Pablo Neruda's poem La United Fruit, Inc.
