Spanish American War: Epilogue

Agenda 1/24:
  1. I assigned the History Journal Project Assignment.
  2. Students interpreted a poem by Rudyard Kipling, The White Man's Burden. Students noted the tone and message of the poem. After reading, they wrote "response" verses from another perspective and read out load a class poem. Students then read a poem called, The Brown Man's Burden.
  3. Students watched a several film clips about the Spanish American war and reviewed Zinn Chpater 12.
