CIA in Latin America

Yesterday students read selections from Memory of Fire by Eduardo Galeano. The excerpts deal with US involvement in Guatemala and Cuba during the Cold War. After, students listened a podcast about the a CIA manufactured radio station that spread propaganda throughout Guatemala in the early 1950s. Students took notes on this piece of paper. Creativity in notetaking encouraged. These notes will count as an informal assignment in this semester's History Journal.
