New Deal: Alphabet Soup

Agenda of the past few days:

Friday 4/1/11:

1. Guest speaker Tom Edwards talk about his experience growing up on the Oregon coast during World War II.

Monday 4/4/11:

1. Students learned about different New Deal programs, discussed their purposes, and whether or not the government should be involved in such programs. They placed their responses on spectrums.
2. Students turn in their Great Depression Scrapbooks. If students didn't turn their scrapbooks in, they will do so at the end of the 4th quarter in their History Journals.
3. Homework: Article Our Phony Economy, prepare for Socratic seminar on Tuesday.

Tuesday 4/5/11:

1. Socratic Seminar - How should we calculate the "health" of our economy? The GDP?
