The Encounter

Today students were introduced to the concept of Historical Materialism. That the study of history can be approached by comparing and contrasting a thesis and antithesis, and arriving at a synthesis. An example of this dialectic is found in the different interpretations of history found in the Patriot's History of the United States when compared to the People's History of the United States.
