Trial of Columbus

Today students prepared for a simulated trial of different groups responsible for the extermination of the Taino Indians. In groups, students wrote opening statements, prepared questions, and wrote arguments placing the blame on other groups, The groups represented are: Columbus, Columbus' Men, King Ferdinand and Isabella, The Tainos, and the System of Empire.
