Students discussed Zinn Ch.16 Pt.II. We focused on several key concepts including: Truman Doctrine, Domino Theory, Marshall Plan, Bay of Pigs Invasion. Students then watched an excerpt from The Fog of War dealing with the Cuban Missile Crisis. At the end of the period, I talked to students about the trade embargo the United States has had on Cuba since the revolution.
