Students discussed this question, then looked at parts of Kyle Baker's graphic novel, Nat Turner, which illustrates the slave rebellion of Turner in 1831. After, students view clips from episode 3 of Africans in America, which deals with the slave rebellions of Gabriel Prosser and Denmark Vesey.
